Loan Officer, Low-Income Housing Fund, Oakland, CA
Responsible for underwriting loans and developing financing products for affordable housing and community facilities. Evaluated loan applications, underwrote loans, provided technical assistance to borrowers, prepared legal documents, and negotiated with other lenders. Worked closely with many non-profit affordable housing and facilities developers and service providers in the Western United States.

Project Manager, Mayor's Office of Housing (MOH), San Francisco, CA
Concurrent responsibility for up to 17 housing development projects and three programs. Development-related responsibilities included evaluating requests for City housing development funds, overseeing environmental review processes, working with developers to counteract community opposition to affordable housing development, providing technical assistance to housing developers, preparing legal documents, underwriting loans, and administering local and federal funding programs. Monitored rehabilitation and new construction progress and advised developers on a broad range of development issues. Worked with other staff on data collection for the City's Consolidated Plan. Worked with many San Francisco non-profit affordable housing developers. Represented MOH before the San Francisco Redevelopment and Planning Commissions and the Board of Supervisors, as well as at numerous community meetings. Represented MOH on the Mayor's Welfare Reform Task Force.
